– The Book of Isaiah

For the last 10 years I have been slowly working through the Bible, book by book, keeping a written journal of reflections for each book along the way. The purpose of this has been to strengthen my relationship with the Lord, but after a few years it also birthed another goal in my heart.

It is my earnest desire and prayer that I may leave my sons a complete set of personal journals on all 66 books of the Bible, by the time my life ends. I want my boys to receive a heritage like this from their dad, so that they may be able to say what the Psalmist has said, “Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart” Psalm 119:111. I am keeping track of my progress below.

  1. I must put this out here as we have discussed that Phil Hodges book Lead Like Jesus in my opinion past the first two chapters is nothing but a waste of space that the author(s) are using to try to make money by throwing Jesus name and the term “leadership” in the same title! this is truley not a work for Phil and Ken to be proud of as I know they in other writtings are far more capable writters.
